Introduction

My name is Allison Cort and I'm originally from Chattahoochee, Florida. I started playing music at 7 years old taking piano lessons, and started playing flute in high school band. I continued my music education at Chipola College and then at Florida State University. I have always loved playing music with others and have found a passion for helping musicians through instrument repair. I began with piano technology, learning from a local piano tuner, then began taking classes on piano technology at FSU in 2020. I also took classes on flute repair from Flutistry in Tampa and have been servicing flutes in Tallahassee since 2023. It is so fulfilling to take an instrument that is not working and use my own hands to fix it then give it back to the musician and see how a properly working instrument improves their playing and allows them to express themselves.

As I develop as an instrument technician I hope to expand my skills to better serve my clients and to be able to service more instruments. I want to help musicians excel in their craft by having an instrument that allows them to perform their craft to the best of their ability.
